Lord Thatrath bestows happiness, fulfillment, and fortune upon those who worship

Lord Thatrath governs the east direction. He is a deity of the Kontharph (lower-tier angels). The lower Kontharph are tree nymphs or Mae Ya Nang, etc. The middle rank are born in the Himavanta forest, and the higher rank reside on the Chaṭumaharājika Heaven. Some say that the Kontharph have musical abilities. In Chinese beliefs there is a notable sign that they hold a pipa (a Chinese instrument similar to a guitar); as for the Japanese, they hold a sword or a trident.

Therefore, Lord Thatrath possesses the power to grant happiness and fulfillment to those who worship. He is commonly worshipped with incense of 5, 7, or 9 sticks, and the following chant is as follows
